چکیده
There has been significant interest in free-space optical (FSO) communication by the research community recent years. This is due to its high data rate, unlicensed spectrum, low cost, and immense security for FSO systems. Due these advantages, can have broader applications that extend from terrestrial satellite communication. Atmospheric turbulence (AT) induced fading a primary problem link since it significantly impairs performance. occurs random variation of air refractive index with time. Several statistical models are introduced characterize AT. The Log-normal (LN) model represents weak moderate turbulence, Gamma-Gamma (G-G) employed strong turbulence. These used effect weather attenuation, geometric losses, misalignment errors. متن کاملEfficient Decoding Techniques for LDPC Codes
Efficient decoding techniques for LDPC codes are in demand, since these codes are included in many standards nowadays. Although the theoretical performance of LDPC codes is impressive, their practical implementation leads to problems like numerical inaccuracy, limited memory resources, etc. We investigate methods that are suited to reduce the decoding complexity while still keeping the loss in ...

متن کاملFree Space Optical Communications: An Overview
Free-Space Optics (FSO), also known as fiber-free or fiberless optics, is an emerging technology that transports data via laser technology. It is a line-of-sight technology that currently enables optical transmission up to 2.5 Gbps of data, voice and video though the air, allowing optical connectivity without deploying fiber-optic cable or securing spectrum licenses. It is moving closer to bein...
متن کاملReview of Free-Space Optical Communications Links
Increased needs for bandwidth require technology that goes beyond traditional copper lines. As internet traffic scales faster than Moore’s law, which is the exponential growth in technology, and digging to install lines in metropolitan areas becomes infeasible, the industry has realized the benefits of free-space optical communication. Free-space optical (FSO) communication links are attractive...
